Speaking of N53 heads, this is the new engine i need to install.
Fully ported N53 head, with matching increased diameter tubular exhaust manifolds to go with Hydra turbos.
Shrick low lift cams, Supertech valvetrain.
Mahle pistons stock CR
ZRP I-beam rods
Fully closed deck
Pinned crank hub

Sorry for the shit pictures :D
Why don't more people do there twin exhaust manifolds like this ? Would relieve some much backpressure and heat with twin setups

Why not go with the high lift cams?

Which pinned crank hub?
Low lifts have higher duration.
As for the pinned crank, its Hydra own stuff, i believe they EDM the crank and sprocket then insert 6 or 8 pins can't remember

The stock manifold is very good and not a restriction, the stock turbine housing is the problem.
Having a exhaust manifold bigger than the head exhaust port diameter is detrimental.

Low lifts have higher duration.

I just had to look that up as originally I thought they were advertised with the same duration.

Is the extra 2 degrees better than the extra .5mm of lift in certain situations?

Thought it was 4 degrees more ? As for the the Lift vs Duration, i'm no expert on the subject so i guess we'll see

Sorry, you are right 4 degrees. At least according to VAC:

Schrick:
High Lift: 268/264 - 12mm/11mm
Low Lift: 268/268 - 11.5mm/10.5mm
