Front end looks good. God I hate those wheels. Soft top meh, but BMW has had so many issues with the folding hardtop - dealers suck at diagnosing, and repairs are unilaterally silly in cost. Vehicle dynamics sporting ... seriously? Gee, it's not a Rolls Royce you say?

I'm wondering who penned the exterior body? Suspension bits robbed from which car(s)?

This has good detail, but you have to listen through ... looks like a hyped up version of the ZF 8HP as well.

Actually, Mike, they dropped 50kg on the hardtop mostly. That's not bad, since it is all topside.

I love the "non-sports car" comment on the e89 Z4. They should take my car around for a lap ...

"This top spec Zed 40i model will get adaptive dampers, and BMW's new electronically controlled diff, as standard. It'll cost just under 40 grand, when it goes on sale in March. And will eventually be joined by a range of less powerful versions, plus and M badged version in the fullness of time. All except the M version using the same ZF automatic gearbox as the Zed 40."

As I posited in in the post I made about the G20, we have yet to see the new Z4 in its M form, and so it would stand to reason the new Supra MKV has the potential to see a similar upgrade. Hopefully we will see the S58 hit both of them.

Apparently there will be a 2.0T sDrive 30i at launch along with the M40i version which we know as the B58TU. The 30i will go on sale March 2019 and the M40i in April, both as a 2020 model. Prices will start in the $50k range, with the M40i in the $60k's. The US models won't have an otto filter luckily, and will produce 382hp unlike the Euro version which with 335hp while both produce 369 ft lb

But it doesn't have a clutch pedal, and you don't control it.

This is but one of the problems with modern day BMW.
