What’s the best first engine mod to do to set up for future work?

Damn, that serious? Are you talking aftermarket or an OEM replacement?

Aftermarket, the M4's are notorious for spinning them at the mid power levels.

I can’t find any data to support this. I hear people talk about it but only few who have experienced it. Just curious.
