Kassel Performance is pioneering a similar swap here in a 318ti. They have already swapped the N52 with great success, and I'll be working with them on doing this swap in my wagon, along with converting it to manual.

i believe hes in talks with Clutchmasters to make a flywheel and clutch kit. Trial and Error fitment for a few US gearboxes (5 and 6 speed ZFs and a 420G gearbox), and if all fails, getting a box from a 330D from across the pond.

I can find boxes readily available from the UK for 3-500 bucks plus freight. 530D rear diffs are 20-100 bucks LOL. Will be an interesting project to say the least, as a deleted M57 is leagues more reliable over the N54.

I'll prolly start one when I actually pick up the donor vehicle from a Co-Part Auction. Kassel was really good with finding theirs so when the time comes i'll be contacting them for help.

Im not usually the type to have a thread going for years and years. When the bulk of the heavy lifting starts, I'll be posting up lots of pics.

Not mine , two is pure swap home made with e90 parts

and in france have a 350D a E92 swap M550d F10 with the Tri-turbo engine on hybrid turbos and make 540hp
