ℹ️ Who wants to save some cash sourcing their
own DIY PCV/OCC Breather Kit for their N54? Well look no further...

✅ For $98 shipped you can get an OCC.
That doesn’t use rubber heater
hose and push locks, but

Instead you’ll get high pressure stainless braided line in either Silver or Black
w/ six 10AN line connects

Then spend an extra $40 and get the ACFab Flapper Fitting from AC Fabrication!

That’s less than $145 for the PNP kit!

ℹ️ No need for the PCV delete plug as you can use the OE plug! Just remove the internal PCV and reinstall your OE PCV plug in its place!!

Here’s the link to the ACFab Flapper Fitting:

And also for the front head port fitting:

Even better! Want to buy a can that meets you’re exact need for mounting location or line routing?
There are several more OCC options for less than the cost of the PCV delete plug; you don’t even need... Below are links to a 3 Port as well as both forward facing options!

(3 Port OCC): https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/192388385802

(Front Facing OCC): https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/192313623674

Hopefully this helps people save a little money
they can put towards maintenance items
or other supporting mods!

Which pcv delete plug are you talking about?

Are you recommending this for the high or low load side pcv?

I’m referring to the the 8AN Male PCV Plugs I’ve seen being sold by others.

If you’re running a Breather kit that uses the Flapper to OCC to Front Head Port w/Plugged PCV Head Ports and PCV delete. You can simply use the OE cap/plug rather than buying an AN Fitting and capping that.

I think that’s what you were asking?
Shoot.. forgot to add the $4.80 M18-1.5x10AN fitting for the front head port.

I’ll edit when not driving.

In the setup you're describing, how is the crank case being vented under high load and how are you metering the amount of vacuum under low load?

Ohhh, yeah no idea. Im not super fond of VTA kits so I recently switched to a setup utilizing an exhaust scavenger.

The purpose of this thread is to share what I’ve seen this kit being sold for; upwards of $300... so I just went on eBay and sourced the same, and in some cases, even better parts to compile a very similar setup, and found it only costs around $142 shipped. Maybe even less w/eBay promo codes.

So if you’re asking how efficiently this system works? No idea TBH. Just sharing what I found as far as savings when buying a similiar setup to what’s being offered by others for double the cost.

I personally run a dual VTT OCC kit now that’s routed to a vibrant exhaust scavenger.

Have you taken any crankcase measurements to see what the vacuum under boost looks like with the exhaust venturi? I've been interested in that/your setup for years, but never come across anyone who had actual numbers on how it performed.

Cool info. Thanks
Happy to help.

I haven’t, maybe Vader Solutions has? They offer a similar kit to what I’ve linked above. Their “Breather Solution” used the same VTA OCC as linked as well as utilizing the Flapper and Front Head Port.

Now that you’ve Interested me as well... I suppose in a few weeks I can create another thread showcasing my own upgraded OCC setup, and possibly test what you’re looking for.

I do kno that for race/track setups the utilization of the rear Oil Return Line (Single Turbo Guys) as one source and the Flapper as the other, lowered my engine oil and coolant temps between 9°F-13°F which was an amazing improvement IMO. However for the DD guys that setup isn’t ideal as it vents so much Oil particulate that the 5ML OCC I had would fill in less than 800 miles. Otherwise, that by far offered the most documented benefits.

Anyways, My car won’t be back on the road for a couple more weeks tho. Waiting on Felpro Gaskets for the new motor. I suppose now is a good time to point out, I am a newb. So idk what a Venturi even is. Tho I’m happy to research more info on it prior to posting my next thread.

I guess that came across harsher than I intended. Was just saying that felpro gaskets are not a good choice for our motors, at all. Actually surprised they would even make gaskets for the N54

The venturi I mentioned is the exhaust scavenger. The scvenger uses the venturi effect to "suck" out the crank case gases.

Awesome. Thanks for clarifying.
I did not kno that term.

And Felpro makes a Valve Cover Gasket only for the N54. And many ST guys have went w/ Felpro Blue and have had great results. Even the 0w-40 guys haven’t seen any leaks whatsoever at any temp.

+Liftetime Warranty, and it just looks cool. ‍♀️
