Technical What is this on the injector..

Hey All,

After pulling all my bank 1 injectors out, I was left seeing all of this on the ends of the injectors that I have pulled out, looks like sandy, dirty oily ends, it feels like sand to be honest which has gotten me worried

It's common to have deposits like that on the end of Direct injection, injectors.

Mine did not look like that when I pulled them. Some black and sooty, but not the rough stuff.

I've pulled the injectors in both my cars and neither looked like that.

Your seals look like they've perished.

The white/grey particles is typically burned oil.

Agreed.

Never seen injectors look like that and I have pulled a few seperate sets from various n54s.

Replace with new index 12s and move on with your next mods is my vote.
