Tranny Swap Options for e82

I have a 2010 135i with 595 rwhp and 550 ft lbs torque (93+methanol) and I'm about to turn it up even more by going e85. What are the Pro's and Con's of doing a 6hp28 swap versus 8hp70 swap? 6hp28 seems like it is easier and cheaper, but I read fantastic threads about the 8 speed. What is the advantage? I read good things about both options but not much on a comparison.

Any other good options? I like the idea of DCT but it seems less reliable. I'm not interested in making this car a Manual. I'm not into racing, just an old guy who likes to have fun on the street.

I'm going 6hp28 swap with Guru Autowerkz. It seems like a cheaper and easier upgrade plus this tranny can handle loads of torque. The 8hp shifts faster. But with Rods tuning I don't think it will be much different.

Been rocking the 6hp28 in my e82 for a little over a year now. Shifts crisp/quick with rods tune.l, and will handle all the torque lol

I got my Guruatowerkz adapter plate and my 6hp28. Upgrade in progress. I am also installing the DocRace ST kit with a 6466. My GC 2.0's failed. Front turbo bearing is squealing!

Also installing N54gasm's coolant/PS relocation tank with a 335D VRSF charge pipe. Should be up and running in a week or 2. DocVu is tuning the car for flex fuel. I'm hoping it will be 600whp on 93/Methanol and 800whp on full e85 + meth. Am excited!
