It's an issue in the tune, just get the tuner to send an updated map.

Unfortunatley, the tuner has tried to fix it multiple times. Although symptomatically, it makes since because this only happens while it is on E85. Maybe a PI problem?

No, it's a boost control problem. PID is obviously not set up correctly.

That's one of the basics of tuning a turbo car. You've paid your money and if he's not able to provide an adequate tune you should ask for a refund or name and shame.

PID control on ST cars is no different than hybrids. I've got no idea why some struggle with it so much. A lot of tuners use the custom MHD WGDC tables as a crutch so maybe he's messed something up there.

The reason it's worse on E85 is likely down to the FF tables. Probably got the base table set up for low boost and he's struggling to handle the PID element when the target increases with FF.
