Ethanol content sensor fluctuating

I'm having an issue where as soon as I hit any kind of boost. 1psi the ethanol content sensor will spike to 100%. Im running 91 octane. I thought it might have been dirty gas but I put fresh fuel from a different gas station and still the same issue. 20% - 100%. I'm not sure what is causing this. I checked my wiring and even did the wiggle test on everything. But it only happens under boost. I have not completed my full e85 conversion as I'm waiting for my new 525lph fuel pump. But this...

check your ground wire. I recently installed a new strut bar and inadvertently didn't tighten (swore I had) the bolt that the ground wire uses. Fixed it right up.

thanks ill go verify that....I went ahead and cleaned up the ground and even put the ground wire on the back side so it's directly on the ground post. Turned it on gave it a few revs and it kept on spiking. No change. Any other suggestions...

I also contacted boost monkey as that is where I got my continental sensor and hoses from....might be a faulty sensor.

I just installed my e85 full pump to complete the flex fuel conversion. The ethanol sensor keeps acting up. Even reving it at a stand still the ethanol signal jumps around. I have flashed back to non flex fuel tune and the car runs fine. I have attached a log of my file at a stand still. Seems like every time it sees a little bit of boost the signal gets spoofed. Please help. Not sure where to look now.

Are you using the Motiv flex fuel or something else? My Motiv box had fluctuations like that for a while and then failed completely. If it's the motiv, you might reach out to them to see if they can help troubleshoot and determine if it's going bad.

Thanks ill get in touch with them. I actually bought mine from precision raceworks. But it is a motiv flex fuel box.
Did you manage to fix this? If so how?? I just installed the kit from motiv and my Ethan is fluctuating like crazy and volatage. I’ve tried 3 different constant 12v and 2 different grounds. 2012 335is

If you're running PR coils you'll need to switch to a stock style coil

Precision race coils mess with the analyzer??? I was getting ready to make the PR purchase...is the b58 coil a better choice?
B58 coil pack are better yess. And I have gotten one email reply from them. Not even about the erratic behavior. I hope I can have mine warrantied if we happen to not make this one run right.

They can. It's no guarantee that you'll have issues using PR coils, but I did. This was a recommendation directly from Motiv. After switching to Eldor coils my ethanol content is now rock steady.

Can confirm this. PR coils caused a lot of problems for me.
