Last week, I upgraded my LPFP to a Walbro 525. After the install, I was able to go run errands in the car for a few hours. While parked, the motor stalled. I was able to get it running again but a handful of minutes later, it stalled again. It finally gave up starting all together.
After a tow home, I put the OEM LPFP back in. Still no dice. The EKP was super hot so I thought I may have toasted it with the extra draw from the Walbro. Visual inspection of the circuit board showed no outward signs of damage.
I ordered another OEM fuel pump and EKP. None of which resolved the issue.
Two things that stand out.
- When I disconnect the line from the fuel rail on the motor, there is zero pressure.
- When I disconnect the line on top of the LPFP bucket, there is a lot of pressure.
- Zero codes.
I was extremely careful in my LPFP replacments and am confident nothing went into the tank.
I am at a loss and could use some tips on how to troubleshoot this further.
