I recently got a stock 09 335i n54. Went from FBO to single top mount. Also added a ford 8.8 conversion.

How do you like the Ford 8.8 conversion? You buy the SLG one?

Any comments? Did you have to modify anything other than the rear sway bar potentially?

Yes slg kit. I secured my own 8.8 and put a posi with carbon clutches in myself. 3.55 gears from the original gear set I kept.

Auto. Cannot really tell any difference. Stock is 3.45 if I remember right. I still didn’t take it to the track yet. Hopefully this weekend I’ll put in some track time

I like the conversion a lot. Yes I had to install adjustable links for the sway bar end links to clear. Also my VRSF exhaust needed a few love taps to clear the rear. I need more adjustment to bring the exhaust higher to look nicer but it clears the road.
I just had to wait a long time for my kit to come in plus a few bolts didn’t come in as supposed to but wasn’t a big deal.
