Where are you guys buying your 11 mm headstuds from. I know there's the old thread on it but it faded away from the topic at hand quickly.
Whats the proper procedure for drilling and tapping the 4 9mm threads if time certs are never to be used on a n54?

Billiam Mason in your pic is who you should buy them from. I believe I got mine from him as well.

Also, Billiam builds the motors for Motiv. He also has the highest HP n54. I would trust what he says and do not timesert your block. No reason to if you get the right studs (from Billiam). Some people sell some Chrysler studs which don't have enough threads and ends up stripping the block or something along those lines.

Yeah I've seen the other thread where the Chrysler studs were brought up and told to be avoided. It doesn't seem like he has anything in stock for months I asked him 2 weeks ago on the time frame on the 4 pin crankhub he told me 2-3 months maybe. Billiam does not have the highest hp n54 either maybe the first to 1000whp but not the highest.

I never had problems with stock head bolts till I was running 26psi and lifted the head at the back of the block and
started to seep a little water externally and only during the warm up process.

If you engine is already built but have a head bolt or gasket issue just replace them with 9mm but if your building
a complete engine then do the 11mm.

You will need the NS300L kit. That's the one Billi is using as well.
Studs can be bought from VAC
So this kit drills taps and then has some special insert in which the 11mm headstud would thread into?

When is it really necessary to switch to the full 11mm head studs?
Wouldn't the std 11mm + 9mm ones already be an upgrade over the stock bolts?

If the stock bolts already hold up well to 26psi (timing, fuel?!), i also see ppl running even higher boost with the stock engine, wouldn't the std size arp bolts be a proper upgrade already?

They are but if an engine is getting built why not go bigger.

I personally stayed with the stock size using arp hardware as I didn't see the benefit

But wouldn´t i need also then bigger dowel pins and modify the head for the bigger dowel pins?

Yes but that's the least amount of work. Maybe the S58 dowel pins are the correct size already as it is equipped with full M11 bolts.
