Does stock DKG launch control build boost?

I'm thinking about swapping my 6AT N55 335i to DKG. I am wondering whether stock E-series DKG launch control builds boost or not. What about F8x DKG, does it build boost there? I know I can't make F8x DKG with F-series mechatronics. to work in the E chassis, so asking more out of curiosity.

Not exactly. I think my f82 makes like 4-5psi at 4500 on the launch control. If youre doing a swap why not a 8hp?
not doing a swap just yet, but would like to find out if the stock DKG launch control builds boost or not before I do. 8hp would be nice, but you can't have launch rpms higher than the stall speed. it looks like the stock stall speed is less than 3000, and close to 2700.

No technical details were provided, but turbod mentioned here that Wedge had tuned his n55 powered 335i and had done something that allowed him to build 12-15 psi on launch. Not sure what he did in the tune to accomplish this, but from this post it seems that it's possible. I was thinking he had the 6hp transmission in that car, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

By its self no, however you can trigger anti lag with MHD however if you are big single N54 you won’t build much boost. Twins now will. But then there is a limitation since the launch control logic requires you to stay in DSC limited so you won’t be able to put down the power you are trying to leave with since a torque limiter will be enacted to keep traction. I wish there was a way to disable DSC and launch. The m3 GTS DCT logic is a little better and operates differently that might help a little with this

You can turn off the requirement for DSC as part of launch control in the DCT but it wouldn't help much, you'd just be doing a burnout.

probably pointless to guess without looking at any logs and without knowing if something needed to be done for the transmission tune.
