Yeah, no worries. I should be under there in about 4 weeks, if that timeframe works for you? I’m just being realistic with getting my parts together and what I’ve got on. I think you’re absolutely right though, you’ve got nothing to worry about if the kit fits the 335ix.

I saw the thread with the first photo you posted in this post a few years ago and forgot about it to be honest, so thanks for reminding me! I went out and compared my engine bay to the photos in the thread this evening. There’s is no way the Speedtech EFR kit is fitting RHD cars! The hot side of the turbo is right where the lower section of the RHD steering rack would be. Oh well! Hybrid it is! I’ll keep my eye on the top mount setup though, probably more power than I need.

Regardless, your X1 will be awesome with an EFR @wheela!
No worries, I'm thinking of just ordering already. With all those parts cross referencing to e90, I don't see how I'm going to get much more assurance of fit until I actually buy it and get it fit up.

Bummer it won't fit your RHD, but I guess knowing helps narrow down options for you👍

Stock location inlet?
Yep. Looks like the kit comes with a bracket/adaptor that attaches to the same screw as the stock inlet. The stock air duct attaches to the top of the adapter (just like stock) and the the bottom of the adapter attaches to a silicone 90 that connects to the turbo inlet (replacing the stock inlet).

Here's a pic from an e82 with this kit.

is it possible to move the coolant tank to to the other side and relocate the inlet?
Well it may be possible to sneak it beside the reservoir in the front a bit. If not relocating the tank is pretty easy. Have done it plenty of times since its obviously a requirement for top mounts

Relocated inlets or inlet sounds better by farrrrrrrr. Plus fewer pipes going over the motor.
Yeah they really do. And especially for n54s since on one side you hear intake noise and then on the opposite side you hear pressure relief from the bov. I love it

I think I'd want some solution to not suck in hot engine bay air at stoplights though🤷‍♂️ It's a daily driver, afterall😀
