snow performance stage 2.5 PI ( DOESN'T FIT)

So i just purchased the snow performance 2.5 port injection ( including the plate that goes between engine and intake manifold), which is 1215$ ( definitely not cheap )
the kit came really complete with everything need for install, But it appears that it doesn't fit at all.
the fuel line and even the engine itself won't let you put the plate
i sent them a mail...waiting for an answer.

I'll never understand why run kits like that. If you insist on PI meth at least use fuel injectors so you can properly meter it. And in my experience a good CP kit works just as well for 1/2 the cost and ongoing headache.

I took this kit because the only fuel we have here is the equivalent of your 91, which is really poor octane rated, thats why i was expecting to use meth PI, to give some extra good quality "fuel" to the engine
btw, i have another car with meth port injected and it works real good !

Yes meth makes a lot of sense where E85 can't be had but IMHO two good nozzles in the chargepipe gives 90% of the benefit with 10% of the effort relative to MPI.

whatever, snow performance will have to provide some serious explanations, and a solution
There is no way a 1215$ Kit sold as plug and play would, in fact, not fit

Looks like a really nice setup, wondering how they fudged the fitment. Are there differences between early N54's and later models which would affect the install?

i don't think there were two versions of N54, i just think they provided the wrong plate ( i hope so) because there is definitely NO WAY it could fit here

Obviously you can do however you please, but I do not personally endorse using methanol as a source of fuel. I know people use it for fueling and octane anyway, but you put yourself at risk. Spraying in the chargepipe reduces the possibility of running one cylinder suddenly low on fuel/octane if a direct port nozzle clogs, but then again theres some who state that the distribution of methanol isn't that great to begin with from the charge pipe. I think that is the reason they like to go direct port.

My intake manifold has direct port meth bungs on top, but I'm not entirely convinced I'd like to use them. There is just something 'wrong' in my mind with letting fuel drip into the manifold and and charge pipe like a leaky water faucet. Maybe there is an option to put an injector or two on the charge pipe or perhaps even in front of each bank on the manifold?

Indeed, injectors monitored via a stand-alone is possible, I’ve seen some setup like this
I own a (very) big turbo mini cooper with meth PI for 3 years now, and no issues ( and it is my daily...)
It works good for extra fuel but you have to be sure that you have enough liquid in your reservoir if you have an agressive tune

I can get ethanol pretty easily here, for me the main benefit is the intake temps. I live in the desert and it can actually kill an engine during the summer if you do aggressive pulls without paying attention.

We unfortunately don't have Ethanol here in Martinique, which is whty i'm using water-methanol injection
the only fuel here is something like your 91 gas pump, even lower quality i guess

BTW... i live in the caribbean....hot temperature everyday

the only solution is meth injection
what is the best possible assembly? plate + injectors before the cylinder head or two injectors in the pipe charge?

j’ai longtemps roul en charge pipe injection mais j’avais un déséquilibre entre bank 1 et 2
J’avais un nozzle de 1340 et un autre de 2300

depuis que j’ai mis la plaque, plus de déséquilibre, plus harmonieux, et bien sûr plus de puissances
Aux dernières nouvelles, 436 chevaux à la roue, et 702NM

j’ai d’ailleurs du modifier la plaque parce que ces connards chez snow se touchaient la nouille et que... bah je N’avais plus le temps d’attendre
