New EKPM board for short money

On the surface this looks very promising. Reasonable price, runs two pumps, gets past amperage requirements for what N54 guys like to traditionally run. Anyone using this yet?

my order left on Friday for France...once it arrived, my family must send back to Reunion Island (my country was not on the list ) shortly after sending it, you receive a link to install the software in order to (program the ekpm) for the moment I still don't know if I need a laptop or a smartphone. for me the software / update part will surely be the most complicated because of Google translation which does not like technical terms. I will try to ask the seller to introduce himself here, it could be interesting

you have to talk about Sébastien I think the translation problem is just on some technical terms. speedsty sent me a link to download software. so you need a laptop and a dcan cable. I will surely receive my order from ekpm in a few weeks. I will share information once it is there. If anyone else here buys it, I hope they will share their experience.

I have one on the way to run my dual 450s and do away with the Hobbs.
Was planning the Reflex+ to replace my AIC6 & Motive flex module down the track. Figured I'd still prefer to have this one as a beefier upgrade in place over the factory EKP and leave a configuration slot free on the Reflex.

This board looks great for a drag car, but not for daily. Fuel temps after 30 minutes on half tank will be bad. Higher fuel temp means less potential for high power.

So I can lap Nurburg a few times in a row before it's an issue .... thank goodness.

On a serious note , your 2nd pump isn't on at all during around town stuff and the primary is duty cycled , so an even bigger 450/535 etc pump is barely working compared to factory.

Maybe you meant something else or I am missing something?

You read something wrong, both pumps are being run on relay, there is no duty cycle with this board. It's either on or off..

This I don't get. If you were running the Holley system why on earth would you want to buy this to run a lift pump setup?

I'm afraid you're totally wrong I know the guy you're talking about he is knowledgeable indeed but only when it come to lawn mower engine! He knows nothing about defekt by design german engine

Here I received my package. I took some pictures for you. the installation looks rather simple. but I still have to translate the instructions to be sure not to make any mistakes

installation is quite simple. open the original ekpm, remove the printed circuit and put the new one in place. the most complicated part for me as a Frenchman is the software. It's installed correctly, no problem. but for the configuration part... I understand absolutely nothing... except the line: ekpm sleep time. I know it's probably ridiculous for some, but the translation of English / French technical terms is very complicated. i'm waiting a bit before bothering you kyle from speedsty.

Some people that have LS swapped have claimed their stock EKPM failed with smoke coming from it. Their stock EKPMs run at 100% in fail-safe mode.

My point is ... if you are running the holley setup, all the BMW fuel system stuff is pointless. Why try to do anything with an EKPM?
