Installing new ecu Emtron KV8 and making another turbo setup. Precision 7675 bb Sportsman

Ecu stuff
Some of the pinouts from msd80 are not specific to wire into any ecu.
They are some of the drive by wire naming are exactly the same. O2 sensors have the exact same naming on a few wires and knock sensors are not labeled bank 1 or 2.

95% are very clear. Above were the only ones doubled or trippled up.

Turbo stuff
Another long runner manifold same aa previous one I made for a Precision 6466.

Aiming to have it running for March 2023 event. Still stock engine but running 620hp last year was enough for 17 inch MT tyres anyway.

Just fits in the oem ecu area.
Had to cut a bit out and its about 3mm to wide.

It will be interesting to see how this unit works and what issues you have to install apart from the ones you have mentioned. So you plan on running just PI and plug off the DI holes in the head.

Yea plug the head with dowels or buy driftworks plug in kit.

Yea im expecting hiccups as not many have put aftermarket ecus on n54.

Spent around 20 hours on this ecu install so far.

Straight up I realised I needed special crimpers. (super seal crimpers)

I labelled around 100 wires.
Pinned and installed:
Injectors
Coils
knock sensors
O2 sensors
can hi, low
and a few others.

I connected the ecu to power and to the laptop today.

Next up Ill have to write down all the sensors inputs and outputs ect and start installing them into the ecu.

Out of my depth but will keep learning.
Turbo kit will be started over Christmas.

Off the ecu for a bit.

I will need to test everything on the ecu before starting the engine so I am starting a manifold now.

I decided on making another equal length manifold. The sound is worth the effort making it.

Started one collector 3 into 1.

Spent some time on the ecu.

You will need alot of information to setup and configure ecu.

For example every temp sensor and pressure sensor voltage table unless you have one on a drop down list.
I spent 2 hours today just configuring inputs outputs. Only did 7 or 8.

Half is common knowledge half needs research to input data.
Im stuck on a few but I just see one issue at a time to resolve.

I have been going through configuring everything I could then started going through every drop down menu making fuel, boost, timing, vanos, dbw tables and inserting data. limits, sizes its crazy the data it needs.... heaps of stuff to setup. Very happy with the software so far.

Im up to around 30 hours so far installing it.

I might be able to help with some of that if you get stuck. Temperature sensors are a pain b/c they are non-linear.
I at least had base maps to start but I found some calibrations were off and also added or swapped to different sensors for different reasons so did a fair bit of sensor calibration in setting up my ecu. I've added an oil pressure sensor (n54) and exhaust manifold pressure sensor now as well, one of the nice things about integration into a stand-alone and particularly your emtron which has a shit load of I/O available.

Im going to get a few new sensors so the data will be available for them.

The one I need data for will be lpfp sensor.
I need to look up data for precision coils and id1700 specs.

I still have a few more wires to put in the ecu and configure 70% still.

Not in a rush just trying to go forward.

The one I need data for will be lpfp sensor.

The oem sensor from memory was a 10bar sensor, 0 - 145psi (0.5 to 4.5v) linear.
I replaced it with a 0 - 150psi (0.5 to 4.5v) linear, mounted into my PI fuel rail.

Thanks.
I can try that. I have an analogue gauge I can cross check also.

This is the stock voltage to PSI conversion for the LPFP sensor, so rac is correct.
I can lookup any other sensor scaling you are struggling with, they are all easy enough to find in the code.

Thanks.

Is this just in the bin file/map on tunerpro.

I never looked, ill have a look before you read this anyway.

Not in the XDF. I think the MAP sensor is the only one defined as that's the only sensor that people bother to change.

ok.

Do you know the oem oolant temp and oil temp sensor?

Looks like oil temp and level comes over BSD. I might be wrong but there's no obvious conversion that I can see so it comes into the DME already scaled. There's a lot of filtering and correction done to this value along with the level sensor so even if you connect to it via BSD you'll have to do a lot of work to get it reading correctly.

The coolant sensor isn't straight forward either:
