Hello,
Very interesting and simple video on Dynos. Most of the info given are basic but very important.

Not all dynamometers are created equal. This Episode of COBB U should clear up any confusion related to interpreting dyno results, understanding percentage gains, and how to compare data across differing dynos.

Shouldn't be called COBB University. Maybe COBB Middle School at best if it's measuring standards based on common core math. If we are honest that was really a COBB Elementary video.

For repeatable, non manipulatable, non setting changeable, its a dynojet or nothing. A dynojet is the least useful dyno when it comes to actually tuning, but its the most unfuckwithable when it comes to results. So yes if you are tuning, buy a mustang, if you are selling products with power numbers, and want to be held accountable for them. Its dynojet or nothing.

I unsubscribed to all of Cobb's emails several years ago when they stopped supporting BMW. Just as well they did - if they hadn't, Martial may not have been as motivated to develop MHD.

Serious Shiv stealing all Cobbs work, was prob the best thing that happened to the platform. They tucked tail, and ran, this drove people like martial to pick up where they left off.

I've run my car on Cobb's Plano dyno - even after car sat and cooled for an hour, the results were disappointing even for a Mustang dyno - stock turbos, heat soak with 160*+ IAT, timing pulling like crazy, etc. - so basically threw those results out. (FYI was 369 whp / 497 tq) Not a knock on Cobb or the dyno, except their fan might just suck.

If I was going to just get a baseline or see what power I made, I'm going somewhere else to a dynojet.
If I ever wanted to tune on a dyno (instead of the street), I'd go somewhere else* with a Mustang dyno.

*Cobb does not do any tuning of the N54 unless you have a Cobb AccessPort.
