Hi all, I am currently gathering the required parts to do a crank hub upgrade along with the S55 oil pumps and sump swap, whilst there I'd like to do the con rod bearings too, I know the motor bearing combination codes are stamped on the crank but is there another way to get this information BEFORE pulling things apart so that I can have them in hand before I start? I don't want to have her down whilst waiting on parts!

Hmmm... No response so I guess the isn't another way ! guess I'll have to a bearing inspection and oil pump/sump upgrade before tackling the hub and con rods.

Videos I have seen dont suggest it is necessary to know that info prior. Shops take them apart and install them same day.

Yes, this is what I'm referring to but its only accessible when the crank case is dropped which SUCKS bigtime!
On the side of the block are codes like BBAAAB which refer to bearings, Im just not sure if they refer to mains or rods

Based on what I’ve seen the numbers are the crank mains and the letters refer to the connecting rods.
