So I was in the process of doing my service (new seals blah blah.)

Got the oil pan on. Thought this is going nicely.

Boom. Rounded the fill plug.

Does anyone know or had experience with this ? I’ve contemplated drilling it out. But as I’m sure anyone who has seen this little plug, knows it’s it an extremely bad angle and would probably just snap a drill bit inside.

I don’t have access to a welder which at the moment seems to be the way forward for this… welding an Allen key or something on and then just twisting.

But before I put the pan on and get back on the floor to take it to a garage does anyone have any tips etc?

Thanks lads 🥲

Support the trans, remove the trans mount bolts, drop it as much as you're comfortable with to get some extra room, then hammer a torx bit in there if you can. 60% of the time, it works every time.
