Any recommendations for a ‘gloop’ when assembling forced air aftermarket plumbing?

Will be replacing the majority of the intake plumbing as part of my TTE500 turbo upgrade…

Most of the OE plumbing has nice click lock clips…the new stuff is mostly screw clips…

With boost going up quite a bit…

Wondered if there was a sealing gloop to help prevent pipes slipping off rather than say WD40 to help them slide on?

I would vote these are one of the best: https://www.murraycorp.com/turbo-seal-constant-tension-clamps

Not cheap but they are nice.

If money was no issue I would just use van jam clamps everywhere and never have a leak again: https://vibrantperformance.com/hd-clamps/

As far as 'goop' people having been using women's hair spray for decades. It gives you some lubrication when you get the silicone coupler onto say the beaded aluminum pipe, then it makes it MUCH harder to get off and really helps a good clamp seal even better:

Have never had a worm gear clamp pop off, even in my VAG days running 40 PSI.
Just use quality ones and proper machined pipes with a nice bead and you won´t run into any issues.

+1 on the hair spray, used that trick since the old days when mounting new bycicle handlebar grips, works great and provides some additional friction when dry.

Constant tension clamps (personally would not go t-bolt). Triton Ideal or Murray, depending on what you can get from your location.

Goop ... not sure what you are thinking - obviously nothing like that will assist pressure management (that's good fit and clamping). But for sliding on parts and adjusting, dish soap - will help slide stuff around to get a non-binding fit, and evaporate after a bit.
