Hi All,

Has anyone tried to 034 Motorsport billet aluminum rear subframe insert. 034 Motorsports seems to have a great following in the Audi/VW scene and their billet subframe inserts seems to have great reviews there. Wondering if anyone on our platform has tried these and if they are better than poly inserts. I.E Power Flex Black Series or the fairly inexpensive WhiteLine inserts.

I know full solid bushings are better than inserts in general however if a billet aluminum insert can be done for 80% performance with 20% of the work. I am willing to do these. However it seems like on the poly bushings they have the legs hat seems to connect the top and bottom of the bushing to make it kinda one piece while the 034 ones just sit on the top and bottom of the bushing.

Any insight on this would be great.

Solid aluminum mounts are 300. If you need them get the right thing imo. Not very pricey all things considered. Should have been solid from the factory if you ask me.

I am very skeptical of all those insert types and how functional they are.

It’s not really the cost, more of the work that needs to be done. Inserts are quick and easy, solid mounts not so much... nor do I have the tools to correct press in solid aluminum ones...

Stopped being lazy and ordered AKG poly 75D poly bushings and making a custom bushing removal tool. Aluminum ones seemed too difficult for to put in without removing the subframe

FWIW 034 Motorsports does not have a great following so far with the E9x chassis. Lots of very low mileage failures with their motor mounts.
